SAC (School Advisory Council)

The role of the School Advisory Council (SAC) at St Ambrose Primary School is integral to its overall functioning and strategic planning. Established at the request of the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS), the SAC’s primary purpose is to support the Principal and the leadership team in decision-making processes that affect the school’s long-term goals and daily operations.

The SAC serves as a crucial connection point between the school community and the parish, ensuring that the school’s mission aligns with the broader objectives of the Catholic education system. By fostering a collaborative environment, the SAC assists in strategic matters such as understanding curriculum development, school policies, funding and improvements to school facilities. This collaboration helps ensure that the needs and interests of students and the broader school community are met effectively.

The SAC does not manage the school or direct its operations; rather, it offers advice and support, facilitating the implementation of initiatives that benefit the school community. The SAC is also involved in promoting a sense of unity and shared purpose among parents, staff, and students, enhancing the overall educational experience at St Ambrose Primary School.

We encourage all parents and members of the parish to engage with the SAC, providing valuable insights and feedback to help us continue to improve and grow. Your involvement ensures that we can collectively contribute to creating the best possible learning environment for our children.

For more information or to express interest in joining the School Advisory Council, please contact the school office. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on our school community.
